Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup milk
Frosting:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk
Directions
Step 1: Preheat and prepare:
Preheat your oven to 350F. Spray or line a 12-muffin pan with non stick spray or with liners.
Step 2: Combine ingredients:
In a medium mixing bowl, mix together butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Add in flour, baking powder, and milk until fully combined.
Step 3: Fill baking pans:
Spoon the batter into the liners or sprayed pan. Fill the pan or liners to the top with batter. Place cupcakes in preheated oven and bake for 16-20 minutes
Step 4: Make frosting:
Place cupcakes on wire rack to cool completely before frosting. Make frosting while cupcakes are cooling. In a medium bowl mix together powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and butter until fully combined. Pipe the frosting onto cupcakes.
