Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

These oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are super easy to make and they are delicious. These cookies are filled with chocolate chips and have amazing texture with the rolled oats.

Serving and Storage

Let oatmeal chocolate chip cookies cool for 5 minutes before eating. Let them cool completely on a wire rack. After completely cooled place in air tight container for up to a week. If freezing the cookies place in zip lock bag and freeze for up to 5 months.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

 
  • 1 cup unsalted butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 3 cups rolled oats

  • 2 cups chocolate chips

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

 

Step 1: Prepare for baking:

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F. Cover cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2: Combine ingredients:

In a medium size mixing bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and eggs until fully combined. Mix in vanilla extract, flour, rolled oats, and baking soda, Fold in chocolate chips.

Step 4: Bake:

On pre-papered cookie sheet roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake cookies for 14-18 minutes. Allow cookies a few minutes to cool before transferring to wire rack.
