These double chocolate chip cookies are perfect for the chocolate lovers out there. These cookies are soft, chewy and are packed with extra chocolate chips. This recipe is super easy to make and everyone will enjoy them.

Serving and Storage

Let double chocolate chip cookies cool for 5 minutes before eating. Let them cool completely on a wire rack. After completely cooled place in air tight container for up to a week. If freezing the cookies place in zip lock bag and freeze for up to 5 months.

Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Prep Time 15 minutes             
Cook Time 10 minutes             Yield 24 cookies

Ingredients

 
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 2 tablespoon baking soda

  • 1/2 cu unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

 

Step 1: Prepare for baking:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Cover cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2: Combine dry ingredients:

In a medium size mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and cocoa powder and set aside.

Step 3: Mix wet ingredients:

In a medium mixing bowl, mix together butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix in pre-papered dry ingredient until fully combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

Step 4: Bake:

On pre-papered cookie sheet roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake cookies for 9-10 minutes. Allow cookies a few minutes to cool before transferring to wire rack.
